'True Blood' Creator Teases Season Four Conjuring Up A Witch?

Hallow Stonebrook Book

Though this season of True Blood still has three episodes to go, I’ve already got scoopage on the next one: Long story short, it might as well be titled “Season of the Witch!

Series creator Alan Ball reveals that he’ll be introducing Hallow Stonebrook, the were-sorceress from Charlaine Harris’ fourth Sookie novel, Dead to the World. Preferring to refer to the character as a necromancer, the boss man says she’s “actually a medium. She communicates with the dead, and she’s interested in developing further powers.”

In the book, Hallow casts a spell on Eric, so um, not sure what more desirable power there can be. Anyway, she’s described as a tall, trim brunette—or, to me, Juliet Landau, Buffy’s nutso Drusilla. But who do you see in the role? Below’s your casting couch.
"Hallow, and her brother threatened Eric that they would curse him by turning Fangtasia’s alcoholic drinks bad, and cause patrons to trip over the dance floor and sue them, which would badly affect Fangtasia’s revenues. Pam tells Sookie that a witch had come with a message from Hallow saying that Hallow lusted for Eric and asked him if he would entertain her for seven nights, she would only demand a fifth of his business, rather than half. Eric had refused and suddenly vanished from the office where they were discussing this offer. Eric says he does not remember anything and that he was born the moment he was running down the road. Pam and Chow asked Sookie to keep Eric safe while they solve the problem with the witches. Later Sookie learns through Holly Clearly (another waitress at Merlotte’s) that this coven of witches have a lot of power that they are willing to use for evil, that they drink vampire blood and that they are werewolves as well. Holly also tells Sookie that this new coven has called all local witches and Wiccans to join them. Furthermore, Sookie learns that her brother, Jason, is missing and starts looking for him. Sookie informs Alcide Herveaux of the existence of this werewolves-witch coven in Shreveport and heads to Hotshot to speak to Crystal Norris (a were-panther) as she was the last person Jason was seen with."
The third season of True Blood continues on Sundays at 9pm on HBO.

True Blood Cast Goes Naked for Rolling Stone Magazine

Vamping it up: Alexander Skarsgard, Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer naked and dripping blood on the latest cover of Rolling Stone, on stands this week

Fans of the hit HBO series True Blood are going crazy over the September issue of Rolling Stone. Why, you ask? Because the show’s three hottest stars (Anna Paquin, Alexander Skarsgard and Stephen Moyer) are naked – and covered in blood - on the cover.

While many think the cover is gruesome (after all, the actors are stripped nude and splattered with blood), True Blood fans are crazy excited to see the issue hit newsstands this week.

Perhaps even more shocking than the splattered blood and lack of clothing is the position of the stars in the photo. Real-life couple Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer (who just got engaged at the beginning of the month), are striking a provocative pose in the controversial pic, with Stephen grabbing Anna’s naked breast with his blood-covered hand.

The creator of the show, Alan Ball, also weighs in, saying: 'The idea of celibate vampires is ridiculous. 'To me, vampires are sex. I don't get a vampire story about abstinence.'

The quote is obviously a thinly veiled comment on Stephenie Meyer's smash hit Twilight series of books and movies. Meyer is a Mormon and in her books, the vampires in question have to abstain from sex with their human counterparts so as not to kill them.

And Ball isn't afraid of alienating the core teenage audience that is drawn to the Twilight projects. True Blood already has a huge following on the HBO channel.

'I'm 53,' says Ball. 'I don't care about high school students. I find them irritating and uninformed.'

The highly anticipated cover hits newsstands today and is expected to be one of the highest selling issues of the year. The caption on the cover reads “True Blood, They’re Hot, They’re Sexy, They’re Undead.”

Do you think the True Blood Rolling Stone Cover is sexy???

True Blood To Continue Until 2015?

Stasr turning out for the 2010 SAG Awards in Hollywood, CA. - Russ Einhorn / Splash News

Anna Paquin has hinted True Blood will continue until at least 2015.

The star has told an Australian mag how she is looking forward to spending the next five years with the hit TV show’s cast and crew.

The 28-year-old Oscar winner said: “I can’t think of a group of people that I would rather spend the next five years of my life with. It’s just a dream come true as an actor.

But the star is still mystified as to why people are so fascinated with vampires. “Perhaps it has something to do with the fact that they’re often very sexy – and kind of dangerous,” she said.

The New Zealander also tells Famous magazine season three of the series is definitely the sexiest so far.

Anna, who is engaged to True Blood co-star Stephen Moyer, added: “It’s been full of weird, kinky vampire sex from the very beginning, so I’m kind of used to it by now.”
