Rocking a latex dress is no easy task. Rocking a
latex dress on TV, where the camera adds an extra 10 lbs., requires
sacrifice. “The other day I realized as long as I’m in this business,
I’m going to be hungry,” True Blood‘s Kristin Bauer tells Popeater
about her strategy to looking fang-tastic. Since joining the cast of
HBO’s hit series last season as the figure-flaunting Pam, Bauer, who
once played Jerry’s man-handed date on Seinfield, has stepped
up her diet and exercise regimen to accommodate the form-fitting and
body-flaunting costumes of Eric Northman’s (Alexander Skarsgard) sexy
sidekick. “During that first wardrobe fitting, I knew I would have my
midriff showing. I thought, ‘I need to get serious’ and started going to
ab classes more regularly.” As part of a show known as much for its
chiseled physiques as its skin-piercing fangs, the vegetarian
acknowledges to Movieline
that her costars are “all working out like crazy and have diets,” which
for the ladies includes avoiding carbs onset. “All the women walk by
Craft services and keep going. I don’t even know why we walk by, we’re
just torturing ourselves.” And while she’s in tiptop form, Bauer says
she’s still motivated to sweat a little more: “After any wardrobe
fitting, I hit the gym three times more than the week before.” – Christie LaRusso
